Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette review

**** This is my first ever review, so please forgive the horrid photos/lighting because I took them on my phone and it's the best I can do! Thanks xx

So I was super excited to make this purchase. I had heard great things from Louise over at SprinkleOfGlitter and it was within my price range (which is pretty cheap if I'm honest). The packaging is beautiful, as you can see with the little metallic lace detail over top. And when I opened the palette up I was floored by the gorgeous sparkly-ness.

I mean LOOK at that... LOOK AT IT

SO PRETTY O.O

So the first six colors are as follows (starting top/right row), cream, light bronze and soft gold. The bottom row/left column are silver, deep brown and honey brown.

The last colors are peach and taupe, and the last two at the bottom row/left column are deep sienna and plum.

(forgive the bad lighting and horrid camera!!) So the first two I'm just ok with. The cream color has so much potential which makes me sad! It's just not pigmented enough, and it looks dusty. It comes out not like a silky glittery stream of something wonderful but instead like dust coming off of a dust rag, if you know what I mean. The silver color I have yet to use, but it's wonderfully pigmented but less silver and much more blue.

These next ones are good. Both are really pigmented and really pretty. The only problem I have is that the dark brown is quite glittery, so it's just "eh" for crease and such where you want a really matte color. But I think for a night out it would be great for some kind of a smokey eye! The bottom "light bronze" color is so pretty. It doesn't go well on my skin tone and my eye color but it could be gorgeous on darker skin and eyes.

These two are "eh" too. The soft gold (bottom finger) I use often-est (is that a word??? A+ for senior in high school haha) and it's nice enough, but I'd prefer something else. It's much like the cream from the first swatch in that it's sorta dusty. The honey brown is nice though, but I have yet to put it on my eye actually.

I really like these colors. The bottom one is a gorgeous rose gold/peachey/glittery color that's just perfect for a sunny spring day. The deep sienna color on top is really nice too, and again great for a glittery, warm, night out look.

These two are alright as well. But just eh again. The purple is nice and pigmented, as well as the brown, but they're again "dusty". I know I keep using this word but it's the only way to describe it.

So, while I'm enjoying finding new ways to play with these colors, I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy another, sadly.

Thanks for reading!
